Grief, loss, love, and joy, have always been part of the human experience. Stories show us how others have navigated these waters, but myth and legend remind us that even as the world changes, much of what makes us human remains constant. The old tales instruct us to find wisdom in chaos and to disrespect the naural world at our peril. We are, after all, part of that world. But in the chaos of modern life, we often feel separated from it. Myth and legend remind us of our citizenry, both in our respective tribes and in the bigger tribe of sentient beings. And they tell us that there are many roads though the forest. Should you take one of these leaf-strew trails, you might even stumble into a border country. A place out of time, where edges meet and straight roads twist. Where one trail ends and another begins. If you should find such a place, speak softly and count yourself blessed.

Growing up around Scots-Irish storytellers drew me to the lore that inspires my stories and instilled in me the idea of magic lurking right beneath our feet. I am a memeber of SCBWI, WFWA, and the Authors Guild, and am currently seeking representaion for my debut Urban Fantasy novel. I live with my husbnd, my dog, two barn cats, and many geese, on a farm in Southeastern PA, close to running streams, whispering trees, and a few 'thin 'places.
